Lonnie Bunch

Lonnie Bunch is the Founding Director of the wildly popular new Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture. Recently, the Belleville, New Jersey native received the Newark Museum‘s John Cotton Dana Award for Visionary Leadership in Museums. State of the Arts gets an exclusive tour with Lonnie Bunch of some of the most meaningful objects in the new museum on the National Mall, hears about how his childhood motivated his career, and finds out more about his relationship with his colleagues at the Newark Museum.
