Artist Wendel A. White has a new series of photographs dealing with the fraught history of African-Americans, called “Manifest.” Many images from the series are on display at the New Jersey State Museum through May 10, 2015. State of the Arts NJ went on a field trip with Wendel to the Cape May County Museum, where he photographed several items, including a Confederate flag from the Museum’s collection, and a woman’s KKK robe borrowed from another institution. We also drop in on Professor White’s senior photo class at Stockton University.
