It’s Murder on the Orient Express… for the first time on stage, at the McCarter Theatre Center in Princeton, NJ, from March 14-April 2, 2017. State of the Arts goes behind-the-scenes to see how this new production of Agatha Christie’s classic is being brought to life, in an adaptation by playwright Ken Ludwig. His play Lend Me a Tenor won two Tony Awards. Ken discusses the challenges, and we see the creative work in action, from the rehearsal hall with director Emily Mann, to the scene shop where the sets by Tony Award-winning designer Beowulf Boritt are being brought to life.

Correction: Ken Ludwig has been nominated for two Tony Awards. His play, “Lend Me a Tenor,” received nine Tony Award nominations and won for Best Actor (Philip Bosco) and Best Director (Jerry Zaks).
