On the February 23 episode, we visit the Women Choose Women Again exhibition at the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey, in Summit. It’s a reprise of a 1973 feminist art show that made a big impact on the art world. Joyce Kozloff was one of the artists then, and on display are three big, beautiful paintings from her very recent series “If I Were a Botanist.” These intricate flower designs are counterpoint to the also intricate work in her current solo show at the Rowan University Art Gallery through March 15 called Cradles to Conquests: Mapping American Military History. We talk to the Somerville native in her loft in Soho, where she’s lived and made art for 40 years.
