Description

“American Perspectives” is a permanent exhibition at the New Jersey State Museum that tells the story of America’s history through art from the 17th to the 21st centuries. Curator of Fine Art Margaret O’Reilly describes how art reflects changes in our national perspective, from the open landscapes of an unexplored west in the 17th and 18th centuries to art based on personal identity in the 21st.
