Description

A visit to the 2012 Geraldine R. Dodge Poetry Festival in Newark, NJ, to see the special collaboration between the NJ Symphony Orchestra and Patricia Smith, whose poems about Hurricane Katrina were adapted and set to Wynton Marsalis’s “At The Octoroon Balls”, a history of New Orleans told through music.  State of the Arts talks to Patricia Smith and Pulitzer Prize-winner C. K. Williams.
