Meet longtime Montclair resident, the innovative jazz musician and composer Oliver Lake. He also writes poetry and paints, seeing it all as integral to his musical career. Oliver Lake is an innovative saxophonist who has performed with the Brooklyn Philharmonic, Flux String Quartet, Bjork, Lou Reed, A Tribe Called Quest, Mos Def, as well co-founding the World Saxophone Quartet. State of the Arts catches up with Oliver in a performance at the Montclair Art Museum, and visits him in his art studio and at his wife Marion Lake’s shop in Montclair, New Jersey.
