Description

New Jersey played a central role in the design and production of toys in the early and mid-20th Century. A fascinating exhibition at the New Jersey State Museum explores this history with the first steerable sled, the Flexible Flyer, and the first green plastic army men, among many other iconic American toys. It’s a nostalgic showcase of more than 100 toys manufactured in New Jersey between 1880 and the late 1960s.
